All alone

Since Tuesday I have been at home by myself. It has been pretty cool. My dad is stuck in the hospital for a long time, my mom is in Maryland having the time of her life (I hope), and Andrew is at a family reunion that I had to miss (Mom did not have to twist my arm so far back to get me to stay. Her excuse: Someone has to milk the goats and stuff.) Anyway, if something really really bad happened I could always got to my grandparents/neighbors house. But today my grandpa left for a trip to Phoenix. So if something bad was to happen I get to be the one to rely on myself. Kinda fun. lol. My mom comes back sometime Saturday or maybe even Sunday so its cool. My grandpa said he would be back tomorrow sometime and that He needed me to milk the cow up at their house. Which is cool. I am liking this.

My Dream Come True

Last week at our District Scout Camp I was working at the Woodcarving Merit Badge station. After "work" one day I was told that the junior staff was going to help with a Order of the Arrow ceremony so I listened to what we were supposed to do. All went well until we were surrounding the fire and the Order of the Arrow people started calling the names of those who were chosen to be in the Order of the Arrow (OA). Next thing I know, I hear my name called. whathuh? I was under the impression that the person who wanted to be part of the OA had to apply. I was pretty sure that I had not applied for OA yet. But it turned out that I had been volunteered by a leader. So now I am filling out paperwork to be part of the OA. This is my dream come true. Ever since I started scouts I wanted to be in the OA. So now I just need to do my ordeal and I can become part of the OA. Its so cool.

De Plan

So I found out that my dad will be in the hospital for a very very long time. Until After school starts in fact. So what are we going to do? My brother and I both will be home schooled. And Seminary. Whats going to happen? We are not quite sure, but here is the plan: We will live out the summer and then when school starts I will drive our truck or maybe my dads van; that we will have fixed up by then; to Seminary and then drive home. My brother and I will do our schoolwork on the computer at home and then the plan gets fuzzy. But yeah.

Eagle

Well this summer has been very interesting. My parents decided that I had sat around on my backside not caring about scouting for long enough. They decided that I WAS going to complete all my eagle required merit badges this summer so when school starts again I can start and finish my eagle project. I am cool with that. I admit it has been a while since I did any scouting. Try almost two years. Sheesh. Once I became a Teacher in the priesthood I kinda left scouting behind. But now I guess I am back on the wagon? Maybe? Anyway hopefully I will have all my merit badges finished and completed by August or September.
