Scout Ball

On Thursday October 15, 2009 The OA Wipala Wiki Chapter (the one I belong to) proposed a OA fundraiser. It was decided that a Formal Scout Ball was going to be held. Men and boys 14 and older need to wear their scout uniforms and good quality dress pants if not scout pants. Girls 14 and older need to wear dresses. We are not allowing anyone younger than 14. Sorry but maybe next time. It will start in 2010 in the year of the 100th year anniversary of scouting. It hopefully will become an annual event if it is put together right. Boys and Girls under 16 are not allowed to go together as "dates." Unfortunantly not all the details have been "hammered out" as of yet. However, I will update my blog on new details that "trickle in." Thank you.

Bleh

I think I am sick. I woke up this morning and I had a sore throat. Since then it has gotten worse. My nose is running now and I don't know what's going on. I usually don't get sick. I feel horrible. Bleeeeeeh. Anyways other than that I am the usual happy shell I usually am. My mom found a dead skunk and brought it home and Spud and I skinned it and spread it so my dad can scrape all the fat off and make him a hat. The skunk's ordorous bag had not been punctured yet so it did not smell awefully to bad. Poor "Stinky" got runded over. SPud and I buried his carcass over a long way from our house. It was cool.

It's my life by Jon Bon Jovi

One of my favorite song's by Mr. Jon Bon Jovi makes me rethink whats inportant in my life. It goes Something like this:

This aint a song for the broken hearted
No silent prayer for the faith departed
I aint gonna be just a face in the crowd you're gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud

Its my life and its now or never
I aint gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive,
Its my life
My heart is like an open highway,
Like Frankie said I did it my way,
I just wanna live while I'm alive,
Its my life.

This is for the ones who stood their ground,
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrows getting harder make no mistake
Luck aint even lucky gotta make your own breaks

Its my life
And its now or never
I aint gonna live forever
I just wanna live while im alive
Its my life
My heart is like an open highway
like Frankie said I did it my way
I just wanna live while im alive
Its my life

Better stand tall when their calling you out,
Don't bend don't break baby don't back down

Its my life, and its now or never,
I aint gonna live forever,
I just wanna live while I'm alive
Its my life
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
Its my life

Its my life, and its now or never,
I aint gonna live forever,
I just wanna live while I'm alive
Its my life
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
Cause its my life.

MY POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE

Today while we were in ShowLow, my dad decided to surprise my mom with a mouser (cat that of course catches mice) and a cat for entertainment. He also wanted to get this ugly, ugly, pugish dog that mom would have hated but decided against it. Anyway, one of the kittens we got from the Humane Society of the White Mountains was a tiny one month kitten named Sunshine. She was one of the only cats I know that actually likes my dad. She jumped up on him and climbed up onto his shoulder and perched there and started playing with his hair. That was bizarre. Cats always run away from my dad because of his chair. Except for this physco kitten from hyperland. My dad almost immediatey said he wanted her. Well after the gruelling no kidding three hour trasnfer process, which I did not mind so much because I got to hold Sunshine, My dad, brother, and I loaded the kittens in the van and started back home. On the way, Sunshine cuddled up to me and purred the whole way home. I can understand my little Sunshine wanting to get out of that bad place but come on, purring? That really just does not happen. Anyway, We got home and let the kittens go in the house and my little Sunshine just started right off playing with things in the house and stuff. That was cool. But yeah.

New Family Goal

Well two weeks ago we had Stake Conference. In it our stake president challenged us all to read the Book of Mormon all the way, cover to cover before the year was up. So my parents decided we were going to shoot for the stars and hit the mud beneath our feet and read it...in spanish. Yep we are going to try and read the Book of Mormon in Spanish. I hope next year it will be German. lol. Just for fun.

School so far (as of August 21, 2009)

Well this is the end of the second week of school. So far it has been pretty amazing. Minus my Seminary teacher who I don't really agree with but that is how life goes aint it? Other than that so far my school has been amazingly awesome. I have made at least one new friend this year and Seminary is going a lot better this year than it did last year despite my teacher. Then there is my actual schooling. After a few misunderstandings and mistakes I am on track and might be able to be done with my online high school courses done by the end of this week so next week when college starts I will be able to focus on my college. I have also started to become a morning person which kinda scares me. haha. I wake up in the morning and milk my goat, even though it hurts my forearms, and then I usually take a shower and by that time I am fully awake and extremely cheerful and energetic. That is the part that scares me. But it is a good thing so I am really interested in what I am doing to myself.

All alone

Since Tuesday I have been at home by myself. It has been pretty cool. My dad is stuck in the hospital for a long time, my mom is in Maryland having the time of her life (I hope), and Andrew is at a family reunion that I had to miss (Mom did not have to twist my arm so far back to get me to stay. Her excuse: Someone has to milk the goats and stuff.) Anyway, if something really really bad happened I could always got to my grandparents/neighbors house. But today my grandpa left for a trip to Phoenix. So if something bad was to happen I get to be the one to rely on myself. Kinda fun. lol. My mom comes back sometime Saturday or maybe even Sunday so its cool. My grandpa said he would be back tomorrow sometime and that He needed me to milk the cow up at their house. Which is cool. I am liking this.

My Dream Come True

Last week at our District Scout Camp I was working at the Woodcarving Merit Badge station. After "work" one day I was told that the junior staff was going to help with a Order of the Arrow ceremony so I listened to what we were supposed to do. All went well until we were surrounding the fire and the Order of the Arrow people started calling the names of those who were chosen to be in the Order of the Arrow (OA). Next thing I know, I hear my name called. whathuh? I was under the impression that the person who wanted to be part of the OA had to apply. I was pretty sure that I had not applied for OA yet. But it turned out that I had been volunteered by a leader. So now I am filling out paperwork to be part of the OA. This is my dream come true. Ever since I started scouts I wanted to be in the OA. So now I just need to do my ordeal and I can become part of the OA. Its so cool.

De Plan

So I found out that my dad will be in the hospital for a very very long time. Until After school starts in fact. So what are we going to do? My brother and I both will be home schooled. And Seminary. Whats going to happen? We are not quite sure, but here is the plan: We will live out the summer and then when school starts I will drive our truck or maybe my dads van; that we will have fixed up by then; to Seminary and then drive home. My brother and I will do our schoolwork on the computer at home and then the plan gets fuzzy. But yeah.

Eagle

Well this summer has been very interesting. My parents decided that I had sat around on my backside not caring about scouting for long enough. They decided that I WAS going to complete all my eagle required merit badges this summer so when school starts again I can start and finish my eagle project. I am cool with that. I admit it has been a while since I did any scouting. Try almost two years. Sheesh. Once I became a Teacher in the priesthood I kinda left scouting behind. But now I guess I am back on the wagon? Maybe? Anyway hopefully I will have all my merit badges finished and completed by August or September.

Summer

Well its summer again. The worst part of the year for me. However this year is turning out a lot better than most. I have accomplished a lot this summer already in the two months that have passed since school got out. I have kinda made plans for my life after I finish school and my mission. I have also talked to the most kind, generous and beautiful girl (I talk to Brianna almost everyday) a lot this summer and I hope I am not making a nuisance of myself which I probably am but still... With all the hub bub of summer I still can not wait till school starts again. I need a definite schedule. lol. But I am glad that I have these months to completely erase all the knowledge from my brain that has been "installed" into it during the school year. I have noticed that I have become less about politics and more about religion a tiny little bit. Now this does not mean I wont fight with you about politics but I don't bring up political matters as much anymore.

My Anger

Its official, I have serious anger management problems. maybe I am just crazy. I talked to my bishop and I am bitter, angry, and vengeful. Among other things. But my anger is the worst part. The only thing I guess I can do to help myself would be patient. I will have to try and help myself by making myself numb to the junk that is thrown at me. I need to not respond. It hurts but that is the only thing I can do.

A Haircut

Every Adult I know thinks I should cut my hair. They think it is to long. But I decided I wanted to know what everybody else thinks. these are pictures that my mom took of my hair cut so yeah... i actually like the haircut. It looks like MacGyver's haircut. My mom always says that she thinks MacGyver is hot. I almost get worried because she is married. But my dad is not worried so I dont worry. But I just want to know what other people think.

An Interesting Month Full of Hope and Prayers

Well some of you may know that my dad went to the hospital again and lost another foot or so of his leg. The aftermath and struggles that my family has gone through has been very interesting. It was just one thing after another. The stitches ripped and then he had a bleeding artery and then he almost died several times and it just goes on. But we hope that we are done with this whole health problems for a few years or so. (Give or take a hundred years or so. ) But now my dad is in a rehabilitation center while he gets used to having only one half of one leg and one quarter of the other leg. But thanks to all the prayers and fasting my dad is healing faster than the doctors and medical professionals thought he would and should be home in a few weeks. I would like to thank you all for your prayers and fasting. It has really helped.
